About TNLG

TNLG - The Next Level Games Inc.

The Beginning.
TNLG was founded in 2001 by Donnie Noland. Having spent many years in the collectible business, and having a business management background, TNLG was started as an internet based business. Before long TNLG expanded its operations by purchasing Outer Limits in Hendersonville, a small collectible store. The addition of a retail location was a long process, but we decided that having a place where kids of all ages could play games and interact was a good one. We feel that retail stores give gamers a unique opportunity to interact with other players, learning basic social skills as well as the ability to have a great time playing a game of their choice. TNLG stayed in Hendersonville until 2002, when the lease was completed, at that time the business chose to move to a larger space in Bellevue Mall located in West Nashville.

The Bellevue Years
TNLG moved from a 500 square foot store to a new home of over 3000 square feet in Bellevue Mall. Many friendships and customers were formed and many more customers traveled from the Hendersonville location, seeking the high quality of service and exceptional selection of inventory that TNLG has become known for. Many new games burst onto the gaming scene in the early 2000’s and as organized play for the store grew, so did the number and scale of events. Before long TNLG was hosting Yu-Gi-Oh! Sneak Previews and Regional Qualifiers, Magic the Gathering Pro Tour Qualifiers and Prereleases, and VS System Pro Circuit Quailifiers.
As the scale of organized play increased so did the need for extra space. TNLG moved just after two years, into a new 5,000 square foot tournament center, across the mall. The store was growing leaps and bounds as organized play, and sales exceeded expectation. At many points in the year TNLG is the most prolific tournament store in America, holding over 15 sanctioned events a week, with an average of over 300 players per week attending these events.

The RiverGate Mall Years
In 2006 Bellevue Mall was sold and the new ownership decided to close the mall to make way for a new project. TNLG was forced to move after the remainder of the lease, and chose RiverGate Mall for the new store location. With a new focus on increasing retail operations, the store prospered as new customers were attained. Moving the store was both painful and joyful, and the new location proved to have many challenges. One of those challenges was space, with a store of only 2,500 square feet, events were overflowing after a short period of time. A second store was obtained in the mall just for the purpose of running larger events on the weekends.
The store was rolling again in no time, with sales again growing above expectation. At the same time, TNLG began coordinating even larger events, by bringing the popular Yu-Gi-Oh! Shonen Jump series to Nashville, which was held at the Nashville Convention Center. After the success of this event, Nashville, TN. Is a mainstay on the large-scale Tournament Scene. After a three year stay in the mall, the CBL Corporation made plans to redesign the mall, and we were relocated outside of the mall in the RiverGate Village center, behind the mall.

This new store has been our home since the end of 2009. With almost 10,000 square feet of gaming space, this store is one of the most unique and largest tournament centers in the country. With the ability to seat 300 players simultaneously, TNLG excels at making the gaming experience a joyous one, without any of the hassles of most stores. TNLG is open every day of the week with organized play taking place on Wednesday and Friday through Sunday.
